| The Basic Rules for the game was decided it should be a Free game that is available on the web. Preferably using d6. It should be a RPG that may also be a wargame. Or easily adaptable to either one. It should also be a simple mechanic to resolve issues. One must be able to create different armies/races. I decided upon WarEnigine by Aaron Overton. This is a wargame but on the Yahoo Group there was a basic for an RPG. Which our group will expond upon. For Space Combat, I have Full Thrust - by Jon M. Tuffley. It is a generic system where you may create your own ships and it uses d6. Simple and must of all FUN! |

| WarEngine RPG basics, RoleEngine (RE) hereafter. RE uses a system where you roll a number of d6 and keep a number of d6; reading the total of the kept dice. For example: 3k2 is roll 3 d6 and keep the highest 2 scores. Compare that agianst the opponents roll. The Skills test is used to determine success as with most RPGs. It is a VS' dice roll when agianst an opponent. Most skill rolls that isn't agianst an opponent will typically be a target number.Which the roll most equal or exceed the target number to succeed. |
