Our student guide, Miss Pank, at at Suan Pakkad Palace. She was a French student but her English was just fine.





The Grand palace is just that. Besides being the former residence of the royal family it is also has the temple of the Emerald Buddha. No mater how mater how many times I see it I am always impressed by the beauty and history.


The Golden Buddha at Wat Traimit is the worlds largest solid gold Buddha weighing 5 tons. It's facinating history makes it a must see for any visit to Bangkok.


Wat Po, one of the oldest temples in Bangkok, It is a short walk from the Grand Palace.

This is a Thai longtail boat. They are used as river taxi's and are powered (overpowered) by car engines. A thrilling ride anytime.

This is a desert vender. The Thai version of Hawaiian Shaved ice served with sweetened condensed milk, fresh and candied fruit as toppings.


This is dragons egg. The flavor is very light but the color is wild.


The friuts are colorful and with the artist carving it's more beautiful.

"MAE NAK PHRA KHANONG". This shrine was one that I always wanted to see after seeing the movie "Ghost" some years ago.

The Rose Garden is one of the best tourist attractions in Bangkok.


Khun Aor took Jim and I to see the Diamond eyed cats.



Did I mention elephants?.

Jay and I visited the huge fresh flower market in Bangkok. You can see so many beautiful flowers that you will want to come home and plant something. We did.

The snake farm is a cool place to visit. Thailand had 163 species of snakes of which 85 are venomous. Venom is collected to produce anti-venom. My friend Jim fell in love with this 15 foot King Cobra.


The floating market, canal front homes and kids on a cannal are all great fun for the tourist with a camera



With islands like this they should make a movie and called it, Oh, "The beach" or something like that.

This was my dirvers permit in 1971 when I lived in bangkok. As you can see I havent changed a bit.
