| As the ultimate display of love, millionaire George Boldt began building a true "castle" for his wife Louise. Due to her sudden deatlth, the castle was never completed. We came here in the summer of 2003 for part of our vacation. These pictures do not do justice. It is literally breathtaking to be inside such a elegant stucture. | The pic directly below (which I made from 3 pics :-) was taken from one of many balconies. The pic in the lower right corner is the Electrical House. All the power to the castle was generated from this structure. That gives you an idea of how large the castle really is. The pic to the left is a close up of the rec. house. |
