Will Bangladesh be the next Taliban State?

You bet Bangladesh is heading rapidly in that direction.  The election result of October 1, 2001, is the barometer we all should be looking at.  In that election the Islam-lover nationalist Party (BNP) and 2 other Fundamentalist Islamic Parties (Jamaat-i-Islam and Islamic Oikyo Jot) have own more than 66% parliamentary seats.  What does that mean?  Now the parliament will be able to change the constitution of this small nation.  They will change the name of Bangladesh from "People's Republic of Bangaldesh" to "Islamic Republic of Bangladesh."  The Jamaat leader already announced in the newspaper immediately after the election that they want the portfolio of Home and Education Ministries.  The reason for this is to Islamize the educational curricula of Bangladesh's primary, secondary, and post-secondary schools and colleges.

Bangladesh already has more than 50,000 Madrassahs operating in every villages.  The Mullahs claim that they have over 3 million students or Talibans under their control.  They also reported that they would fight in Afghanistan if America attacks the Talibans and try to capture Osama bin Laden.

Please view the following photos published in the last week of September 2001 and in the first week of October 2001 to realize what has happened to that nation.
