THE SERRATOR
Nearly every culture from every area of the Earth (and the other material planes, for that matter) has legends depicting a great beast, so immense and powerful that its appearance would surely mean the end of that civilization.  Surely, these are but tales spun by religous leaders to keep their flocks in line... but most myths have a reason for existence.  The Serrator is a chief guardian of the Negative Material Plane... a dragon so powerful and volatile that even the Negative Material Plane's  most feared denizens (or, at least, those who would fall under this dragon's undesirability) cower when they think they hear the beating wings of the Serrator.  No one really knows when the Serrator came into being.  He is the patron God of many of the lesser tribes of the Negative Material Plane, as he feels compelled to protect weaker innocents.  The Serrator can breathe fire, acid, freezing mist, white-hot particles of glass, Dark Energy (a manifestation of the fabled "shadow element"), Light Energy (a manifestation of the fabled "light element") and narcotic fumes which incompacitate a foe with hallucinations.  He also weilds a brutal War Mace, which is said to provide mysterious powers.
