THE SHAMAN MULTWOGG
Deep within the tangled marshes of Uul dwell the Uulu.  Amphibious Primates, the Uulu resemble Earth amphibians such as the frog but are bipedal, possess hair and teeth and are generally as intelligent as humans, though less technologically advanced.  Only a small population of the Uulu exist, consisting of approximately 1,500 individuals, all living in a few colonies in the same general area of the vast Uul Marshes.  The Uulu are a spiritual people, worshipping the gigantic, slumbering Locholle, a massive reptile who hibernates 4 out of every 5 years.  During the fifth year the Uulu appease Locholle with massive quantities of food, for it has been known to dwindle the Uulu population.  Each Uulu colony is governed by a Shaman.  The Shaman studies his whole life in mystical arts and must always be capable of defending his people from the harsh predators of the Marsh.  One such Shaman wandered from his colony as a younger Uulu succeeded him.  For years he traversed the span of the Uul Marshes and learned of all the land could teach.  This Shaman was labelled "Multwogg" by the colonists:  Multwogg is an Uulu word for a ghostly apparition.  Forever he wanders the swamp, prolonged by his natural sorcery.  Surely a more powerful creature has never walked the Marshes of Uul.
