| A species indigenous to most of the subterranean areas of the Negative Material Plane, the Blood Drake is actually not a drake, but a sort of cursed humanoid reptile. A Vampire of sorts, the Blood Drake is aptly named--it thrives on blood drained from its victims. The legions of blood drakes adhere mostly to the command of the Serrator, but some tribes delve into the sinister realms of the darker Gods and answer to no known power. Blood drakes have an oily, black hide that is impervious to most physical weapons--therefore, if one is so inclined as to wish to kill a blood drake, magic or alchemy would be the best course of action. If students of the elemental magicks were to capture a specimen, knowledge of the supposed shadow element would be more widely accepted, for blood drakes serve as Shadow Elementals, and wield this mysterious element with deadly force. |
