About the Wolves |

All wolves currently pictured are from wolf rescue centers. Often people buy wolves as pets and then realize they are too much to handle. Rescue centers take in these unwanted wolves. The wolves will never end up back in the wild, as they are to social to people even if they are shy in nature. It is also illegal if to reintroduce a pet wolf into the wild. The purpose of these rescues is to save wolves' lives that would otherwise be put down. Rescue centers are often in hard to find locations on small budgets where the founder lives and spends all of their time caring for the animals. All of these animals were comfortable with getting their photo taken. Some wolves were very shy, and for those, I have kept my distance and shot with a telephoto lens.
