Vampiri
Donated by Rebecca Ann West

Otherwise known as 'The Caste Of Blood', these are what pass for
the nobility among Vampire kind, solemn and secretive. They are
those descended directly from the first Vampire whose name is
lost to all but the Vampiri themselves, it is whispered that by a
perversity of druidic magic they are actually able to reproduce
within their own species and are in fact driven to do so once
they have reached their fifth century of existence.
They are perhaps the most human looking of all of the Vampiric
races apart from that of the Nosferatu, tending to have red eyes
and pin like pupils which are completely covered in a golden haze
during the feeding frenzy. They also endorse a very thin almost
cadaverous look as the height of beauty, and strive for that
perfection.
They are closer than almost any other Vampire substrate to Mortimus, claming him as the patriarch of their clan and
working almost exclusively for his priesthood. Apart from the
symbols sacred to him all other reliquary are anathema causing
severe burns to their flesh and holy water would have the same
effects as acid.
The most powerful of them would be able to tolerate the low sun
of late twilight and early dawn but other than that they are
first burnt and later turned to ash by the touch of the sun. Wood
causes them no problems but silver has almost the same effect as
holy reliquary burning them and causing immense pain, wounds
caused by silver weaponry will not heal without immense effort
which would render the Vampiri almost comatose for a time
starting at a day and continuing for months or even years.
Vampiri are extremely talented telepaths being able to pluck
thoughts out of most peoples head, but they can be caught that
way within someone's mind, if that person is willing to risk the
eventual consequences of having an enraged Vampire inside their
minds. They are also able to manipulate the shadows to their
will, flight is beyond them and they sneer at the gift given to
their Nosferatu cousins, probably out of a sense of jealousy for
the lack.
Being the 'donor' to a Vampiri vampire is an exquisite pain that
balances on the edge of pleasure and is actively sought after by
a certain type of individual.
