HUMANS
Humans are one of the most common races in Erythia. There are a variety of subraces, ranging from the half-savage Barbarians, to the urbane and civilised Octarian Empire.
Humans were first created by Collinius, God of Hills and Plains, as a countermove to the creation of the Elven and Dwarven races. Unlike these two, humans were much shorter lived, but were able to reproduce a lot faster, resulting in a much larger population. This meant that they spread to a variety of different terrains, and gradually adapted to their surroundings by a process of natural selection. This created the diversity within the human race which we may see in modern times, in much the same way that the elven nations differ so much.
