CLODIA

Goddess of Adultery

Queen of the Unfaithful

The Lady of the Night

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE ON MANIFESTATION

Clodia always appears as a stunning woman, so gorgeous that few, regardless of their gender, may resist her. She seems to always know exactly how to appear in the most alluring form to mortals, which results in her nearly always achieving her ambitions. Her appearance, to be brief, is always likely to cause an uproar amongst mortals.

CHURCHES, CULTS, FOLLOWERS

Clodia's main following is the Bona Dea, an organization designed to, ahem, pleasure mortals. This scholar has no personal experience with this organization, he must add. Aside from this, Clodia is the Lady to whom people of certain unsavoury occupations offer obeisance. This scholar feels that readers will not need any further detail to gain the appropriate insight into the followers of Clodia.

PERSONALITY

Clodia is cold and calculating, a goddess who relishes a challenge and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She delights in ruining marriages by sleeping with one of the partners, or by sending one of her creatures to do the job for her if neither are attractive enough. However, she is selfish, vain and arrogant, as she is extremely confident in her looks and her abilities, and only really loves herself.

HISTORY

Clodia is the daughter of Hestia and Castor, the product of a brief and ill-fated union. She was to be the goddess who oversaw reproduction, but her chaotic elements made her a far more erratic and dangerous goddess, one that her mother has virtually disowned.

To say that she has slept around with many of the famous leaders in history, is at least partially true. However, she was forcibly kept out of the Divine Struggles by Castor as he himself refused to ally with any side, and did not wish his daughter to as it went against his principles.

To this day, Clodia's influence can be blamed for the decline in morality in many cities, and the many illegitimate children left on the streets, many of whom follow a path of debauchery.
