A little ditty

Hello, doctor!
-Good to see you, Mrs Bloggs! What will it be this time?
I'd like some antibiotics, doctor!
-Sure, sure, and which one were you thinking of?
My other doctor used to give me...was it something-illin? Worked a treat!
-Ah! We've got amoxycillin, flucloxacillin, ampicillin, phenoxymethylpenicillin, dicloxacillin, piperacillin and ticarcillin to name but a few!
I'm not sure, they were sort of yellowish?
-Well let's have a look in this here book... you want capsules, tablets, suspensions, injections or infusions?....what do you want them for?
I've got this nasty cold and my nose is running all the time..
-Nose, eh? In that case it's probably capsules you want.... just let me measure your nostrils for you...
No wait! I had to eat them!
- Eating antibiotics for a runny nose?...Now that's a bit odd... How's your immune system then?
What's an immune system?
-Ah! They're the happening thing in medicine...I've had one myself for years now, and am dead happy with it! Not a single antibiotic passed my nose since!
Well how do I get one then?
-Yes... well, here's the tricky bit. You have to do NOTHING!
Nothing at all?
- There's some really good articles on staying in bed, and reading a book while drinking orange juice. But the jury's still out on whether watching video's is any good at all. Can't really help you with that one I'm afraid!
