| Here is a list of the books I use in my research of 16th century Persia, and a short review of each. | |||||||
| Middle East Studies Handbook by Jere L. Bacharach Copywrite 1984 Published by The University of Washington Press I found this book used online for cheap and thought I would take a look at it. I am so glad I bought it because it is full of information about 16th Century Persia. Inlcudes a break down of leadership in the middle east, maps, and a great timeline of the middle east through conflicts and other major changes. For modern use this book would be considered outdated, but it is great for a person looking for information about the history of the Middle East. |

| The Golden Age of Persian Art by Sheila R Canby Copywrite 1999 Published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc. This book covers Persian art during the Saffivid rule (1501-1722). I have found it to be very helpful in my research. The pictures are wonderfully detailed and in color. I have not yet read many of the books on Persia (this one not being an exception) due to an ubundence of required reading for college. So sadly I can not say how the text of the book is. |
