MOANDER

Moander grew up a “typical” elf for most of his childhood up until he was about 50 years old, when his small, rural, outskirts community was “attacked” by Female Vampire, named Ladonna. Ladonna was looking to cause a little mayhem and perhaps find a worthy companion to spend away the next hundred years or so. Fortunately she was defeated by a group of adventurers but not before having enthralled Moander and made him betray his community; even though Moander later was the only one who could have helped the adventurer’s get Ladonna. Freed from her enthrallment Moander was eventually accepted back into his community, family and friends. They were able to forgive him, after all he was enthralled, but Moander could never, and has never completely learned to forgive himself. The reasons being many. For one, elves are known for their resistance, though not immunity, to charm like spells and affects, yet he succumbed to the vampire’s enthrallment. He feels embarrassed and ashamed that he could so easily be charmed, never mind the fact that he was only a child as elves see it. The worst part of it though is the guilt. While enthralled Ladonna made Moander betray friends, family, and the community. He knew what he was doing, but like a sweet you just can’t say no to, he could not resist Ladonna, no matter how hard he tried. He was weak, and his weakness caused people he loved to be hurt. So deep down he still feels guilty. And his most secrets of secrets is that he is afraid. Afraid that he won’t be strong enough again, if it were to happen again. This fear has highly influenced his decisions even if doesn’t fully realize it. What he wants and is looking for is a release from the guilt and fear and a measure of control over what controlled him. That’s why he chose to delve into Necromancy once his sorcerer’s spark was realized.
