Communication of
Ideas
Communication of Ideas is very important to students
because it teaches them how to communicate using standard English in a
variety of writing types. For Communication of Ideas we use the language of
mathematics to communicate ideas and concepts to explain reasoning and
results. We also write and speak with clarity and with a sense of
purpose. The three projects I will be discussing in this summation paper
which satisfy the communication of Ideas H.L.O. are Oedipus the King,
Crucible, and Bald Eagle Book.
The first project I will be talking about is Oedipus the King. I
wrote a persuasive essay for my English class (World lit). Oedipus the
King is a functioned story about a boy who was cursed, because he kills his dad and
marries his mom. I wrote this persuasive essay to prove that all the
things that happen to Oedipus in his life were not his fault. This project
uses the language of mathematics to communicate ideas and concepts to
explain reasoning and results. It demonstrates written and spoken with clarity and
with a sense of purpose.
The second project I will be discussing is the Crucible. I wrote
this essay in my America literature class. I read the Crucible first, and
then I wrote an essay that summarized the book. The Crucible is about
Puritans who lived in Salem, Massachusetts. The people who lived in Salem
were religious people. The Bible was their guide for life. Many people were
hallucinated from strange food. People who hallucinated started
pointing fingers at people and crying out that they are witches. In this essay
I wrote and spoke with clarity and with a sense of purpose and used
standard English in a variety of writing types and in verbal
communication.
The third project that satisfied Communication of Ideas H.L.O. is
Bald Eagle book. I wrote the Bald Eagle book in my tutoring class. This
book basically talks about Bald Eagles life at a first grade reading level
standard. This project demonstrates listening, reading, and observational
skills through written, verbal, and other types of response and teaches
new skills and ideas to others while giving and receiving constructive
feedback. I read the bald eagle book to my student in the first grade
level. My student learned a lot about bald eagle after I have read the
book to her.
In conclusion, Communication of Ideas is very important
to Hoover Learner Outcome. The three projects that satisfy
the Communication of Ideas H.L.O. were great projects that I enjoyed
working on. Oedipus the King was a great, sad fictional story, which was written
and spoken with clarity and with a sense of purpose. The Crucible was also
a great fiction that was based on nonfiction. This essay was standard
English in many writing types and in verbal communication. |
