Report from game 5,

Vipers vs Lightnings

First Period
The Vipers with their no losing streak were determined to acquire victory and
retain their position at the top of the table. The Lightnings were hopeful that they
may get a lucky break and salvage their quest to be among the top teams in the league.
The match started off with a bang with Vipers continuously attacking the fort that
the Lightnings have miraculously put forth.
When it seems that their effort were not to avail, the Vipers managed to take on the lead at 12:25
when a slap shot by Hanif ricocheted from Felix's pad and fell in Alex's path,
who scored the first goal.
The Vipers were rejuvenated by this goal and continued to attack in order to strenghthen their lead.
The first period ended with only a goal scored by the Vipers, 1-0.
The Lightnings tried to equalise the match but their effort was in vain.

Second Period
The second period was seen to be dominated wholly by the Vipers as they managed to
obtain their second goal from Johnny who managed to steal the puck from the Lightnings
and scored the goal at 16:12 unassisted. The score was 2-0 and the Lightnings seems
to be out of resources to keep the Vipers at bay.
The Lightnings conceded their third goal when a goal scored by David Ng and assisted by Reezman at 12:36.
The score was 3-0.
At this point of time, the Lightnings starts to bolt their way into the Vipers zone and managed to
crack a few shots at Robbie but unfortunately lady luck was not smiling at them.
The fourth and the last goal was scored by Kazu at 7:18 unassisted.
The score remained 4-0 till the end of the period.
The Lightnings gave the Vipers a tough fight and the Vipers won the game as they deserved it.
