The 16th Annual Robin Hood Festival
The Robin Hood Festival is an annual event held at the visitors centre in Sherwood Forest.  The 5 day event includes medieval craft fares, mock fights, hunt the outlaws, jesters, plays, banquets and the Singing Plague Victims.
Were they expecting us.

The first thing we saw on arrival was a sign saying 'Outlaws This Way'. Did somebody tell them we were coming? Unfortunately we didn't get to borrow one of these signs !
Men With Big Swords

No Robin Hood Festival is complete without a bit of fighting. Robin and his merry men kept us amusied by beating the hell out of the Sheriff and his men.

The Major Oak

The tree that dates back to Robins time. Apparently about 1200 years old its so big that its now held up by scaffolding.
Now who rides a horse like this.
