Basically, I have learnt 2 aspects of life by studying Principles of management,

1. Book / academic aspect
2. Real Life aspect.

If the Text book aspect is applied in real life ,our lives can become more quality Oriented and simplified, the truth is just follow the Textbook even for your real life decisions and practices. You can do this if you consult the TextBook for every decision or action you take. Review the Text Book from Time to Time. Quran is a Muslims TextBook for how to spend his life.

1: Book Aspect when applied on Real Life

After knowing the history and evolution of management, I now understand what are the roles, duties, responsibilities, tasks, & rights of managers in today’s world.

Then I came to know the importance of Management in 21^st century that how management is applied:

1. On organization’s Natural Environment,
2. On SOCIAL issues and ETHICS,
3. Culture and MULTICULTURALISM,
4. Inventing and Re-Engineering of an organization
5. On Quality aspects

Management process helps me a lot in learning the management course and it helps me in studying the manager’s roles and their duties in certain following areas: -

1. Planning:

Now I have a feeling of good planning. I apply decision-making theories, like rational model of decision making in my life. Also using the planning and strategic management approaches in my real life.

Now I am a good organizer. and I know how companies operate. how they develop organizational designs and structure also understands the difference between power and authority, delegation, job design etc. Now I am also getting the concept of human resource in an organization like Human resource planning, recruitment & training, selection, development, promotions etc. Also understanding what is organizational change, the change process, types of planned changed and what is organizational development (OD).

By studying this particular topic, I have come to know that how companies like Toyota, 3-M, Nestle, Nike, Levis, P&G etc are leading all the way in the world of business. How these companies motivate their employees by applying Need Theory, Maslow’s Theory etc. Also understanding the traits and behaviors of today’s leaders. Today a leader should be visionary. The importance of working in teams, by working on management project & concepts like Team or super teams, Self-Managed teams, Stages of team development, Team Norms, Team Cohesiveness.

I also understand that how organization communications and negotiates. Concepts like interpersonal communication, differing perceptions, emotional reactions, verbal and non-verbal communication, negotiating to manage conflict.

I have come to know that how organizations control the management process concepts like control systems, financial controls, budgetary controls, types of budgets and auditing are some of the tools of controlling

Today Operational Management plays a vital role in controlling organization. Here concepts like productivity, designing operational systems, answer questions like [what to produce? How many to produce? How to produce? who will do the work? ]

Today organization cannot survive and excel without a good information system. Concepts like information security and control, Management Information Systems (MIS), Electronic Data Processing (EDP), Decision Support System (DSS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Expert System (ES), are some vital information tools covered in management

In order for (EO) emerging Organizations to succeed and come up to the level of LO (Leading Organizations) i.e. Transnational Orgnizations, they must integrate & apply TextBooks on their Businesses from every aspect and develop DSS based on AI & ES Technology . Aspect here means Every TextBook Chapter and Topic must be applied on the organization. Compare your Organization with each Topic given in the Book. Unless a study as through as this is done and Implemented, then you only can become an LO ( Leading Organization ) Organizations should apply TextBooks to all Functions( departments) in the Business namely Marketing (Kotler) Management (Koontz) HRM ( Weihrich) Advertising ( ), Finance

Also Organizations must Integrate Computer Technology into their Businesses. There processes must be computer Based e.g Registration process, Billing process, They should Implement DATABASE like Oracle, into their Servers. Their Decisions should be Computer Based. Expert System (ES) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play a fatherly role in the next generation for Governments and LO , these two must base their Important Decisions on software’s developed under AI and ES. Here fatherly role means a guiding role.

With this management knowledge and skills in my mind I can become a useful part of todays LEGO3
