Paramount's Kings Dominion


A bunch of our friends that work at Alcatel got free tickets to Paramount's Kings Dominion in VA on Sept 25th, 1999. The park was packed with people, so, you can guess the wait for each ride was....forever! The water park was close during this season, well, even if it was open, I don't think we would have time for the water park anyway. Here are some of the thrill rides that you should not miss when you are at Paramount's Kings Dominion.

ANACONDA

It is a giant steel roller coaster which throws riders for a loop a total of six times and then plunge into the underwater tunnel. It can be pretty scary and rough during the butterfly and may bang your head. Paramount claims that the butterfly configuration is the only one in existence in the United States. I love the ride!

This is the ride where you get to stand instead of sitting. It was a fun ride!

Volcano - The blast coaster VOLCANO - THE BLAST COASTER

This is a new ultimate roller coaster ride at Kings Domimion. It will launch riders to 70MPH using Linear Induction Motors (LIM's). The train will hurl out the top of the Volcano and send riders through 4 inversions. This is the must-try ride. My friends and I liked it so much that were willing to stand in line for one more hour for another ride!
