Camping at Myrtle Beach State Park

Since Hiê`n and I did not have any break during the summer, we decided to do a hard core camping at the beach in October. We only had 4 days, so, Myrtle Beach was an ideal destination since it's only 3 1/2 hours of driving. When we said "hard core camping", we meant hard core camping. The tent was our luxurious vacation home, and sleeping bags were our comfortable beds! :)  Bonfire was our light at night, and was also our source of energy for cooking lunches and dinners. :)

We enjoyed our relaxing trip with nature.

Myrtle Beach State Park THE CAMPSITE

We chose Myrtle Beach State Park as our campsite because it provides a close to nature campgrounds.   We checked out other resort campsites but were disappointed because these campsites were filled with RVs and have no trees. Besides, Myrtle Beach State Park does not have any restriction on how long you have to stay.

This park has security, electricity, a swimming pool, and hot water. Also, a long pier will give you an opportunity to go fishing at the beach.

OUR TENT

We bought a Rei 4-person tent for the trip. This tent is light, compact, and very easy to set up. We got the tent up and done within 5-7 minutes max.

the beach THE BEACH

The beach was warm even in October, so we were able to dip into water. However the water isn't as blue as Miami beach. But it was still fun to relax, to float in the ocean, to listen to the soothing sound of the waves, and to let the sunshine embraced us.
