Summer 2006

Thank you

At this point we just can say thank you, to God, for protecting us and our kids on the road, from Key Largo to Ft. Myers, through wet roads, rainy storms, on US1, I-75 and Gratigny Pkw, for keeping the players safe and healthy, for protecting our homes and pets while we were away, for bringing understanding to our extended family, to our friends, to our bosses, and co-workers. Thanks God for giving us the courage and strength to keep up with our son's dream.

Thanks to the Coaches, Miguel, Peter, Johnny and Artie, for the good work and good example that they always set for the players. For treating every kid, every player as their own son. For bonding with every player and paying special attention to individual skills and personality. For showing that hard work and commitment are the tools for success. "All bussiness", means, time to work, and work hard. For their respect and patience with the players and mostly with us, the parents. Thanks Coaches, we are witness of your great heart.

Thanks to our fellow Parents, for so many moments of cheering histerically for our team, for sharing your family's stories, for being that fellow soldier that you can look in the eye and read "Here I am, what you need?", for gaining a few pounds together this summer, thanks for the openess with new parents of the group, for watching over every kid as your own, for your patience during the line to make waffles in the hotel at Ft. Myers, for sharing umbrellas and sunflower seeds, Thanks for the experience of being there together.

Thanks to our Players, the Stars, our Boys, our lights. For making possible all of this, for in some cases drag us into their "sport world" and present us their dreams, their illusions, but over all show us how is possible to follow your dreams and get the best out of it, overcoming fear, frustration, pushing their bodies to the limit. All start when you dream about it. The greatness of the human mind. Thank you Gentlemen, for continually pushing us to be better, more like you.

And of course Thanks to Baseball, the great American past time, and all the people involved. Umpires, Commissioners, Field maintenance workers, Concession stand personnel, all of those that keep baseball alive, some of them volunteer workers.
To all the great people at Key Largo Community Park, always happy to have us there even that we were beating the locals.
In Pepper Park, City of North Miami, Marvin "the Hammer", umpire with a funny dancing and special way to call ball pitches "no, no, no, no" very quickly.
No doubt, as a fellow parent said: "it was a fun ride, while it lasted"

Thank you all.........
