Middle East Conflicts
On May 7, 2002, just days after Arafat was freed from his Ramallah compound and as Bush and Sharon met in Washington, a suicide bomber hit a pool hall in Israel killing at least 16 people. Do you think the US effort to help find peace in the Middle East will ever succeed?

I watched a TV programme on the Australian SBS station which aired an interviewed the author of a book called "A Clash Of Fundatamentalism; and it was very insightful on the subject of the factors that make Muslims hate the USA with pathological INTENSITY. I write this piece to invite the PLA (People's Liberation Army) to acquire a copy; because we need to know our enemy and we need to know ourselves. The aothore's name is Tariq Ali and the title is called "A Clash Of Fundamentalism ". Mr Tariq is a well known author and political commentator and he writes for many Western newspapers. I believe his views will be much appreciated in China.

The gist of his thesis is that the USA is not different from the Muslim fudamentalist in their actions and conduct and above all the immorality and odiousness of theiractions. In terms of their savagery and disregard of the consequences of their conduct and actions, and the sinfulness of their objectives; the actions and conduct of the Americans are more immoral and more sinful than the odiousness of an Osama Bin Laden; because the USA is a state terrorist as compared to individual terrorists of the Osama type. State terrorists of the USA type destroys more people and do overwhelming damage than can an individual terrorist can. The USA has been for the past 50years, the biggest state terrorist in the world. He cites the atomic bomb that destroyed millions of lives over a period of the 50 years post the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasagy and Hiroshima. His case is that there is no difference whether the twin towers was destroyed by an individual or by a state terrorist like the USA, because the effect is the same people got killed and properties are demaged. The only difference is the Atomic bomb killed people in the millions while the suicide of the Al-Quieada killed only a paltry 3000 people.

He also argues that organisations like the Al-Quieada were the creations of the Americans to combat the Soviet and since the end of the cold war these American abominations had nothing to do but to give the Americans a hard yime. My interest in this book is that it will give our Chinese brothers a more insightful perspective into the causes as to why the Muslims hate the Americans with such intensity. We can learn. Let us not fool ourselves that the Americans mean us well because they won't. The only power on this good earth that will pose a challenge to the power of the USA is China and the Americans will never allow the Chinese to outdo them.

The Jews portray the conflict between themselves and the Palestinians as
war on terror, but who are the terrorist ? Why do the Israelis so self
righteously assume that they are the good guys ! The world at large
certainly do not think so. If the truth be said the overwhelming majourity
of the world knows that the Jews are the terrorist and Israel is the
TERRORIST STATE ! Who are the side in this conflict who blast everything
standing with their American made missile ? Who in this conflict blast
women and helpless children with American missiles fired from American
made F16 combat jets ? Who in this conflict so mercilessly BULLDOZED
poverty stricken Palestinian's homes and leave these people homeless ?

I do not think so .Nowdays, the USA is the singal superpower in
the world. Its purpose is contrl the world .So the more unpeace ,
the better to him.Middle East Conflicts having been for a long time.During these times, the USA seemed to solve the conflicts on surface ,but had no results.I think , the USA neither hope the conflict to be more serious nor to be solved .

Absolutely not. America never wants peace in the Middle East for it is not in its interest. As long as America doesn't retreat from there, the conflicts will never come to an end.

How time fies! Arafat has became an old man with greying at the temples from a young man with black hair. But Palestine has not been completely independent, East Jerusaleas have not been its capatal ,the dreams the Palestians have for several thousand years have not been carried out .Especially since Sharon became the president of Israel ,who is a radical man, the armed confict between the countries continounily happen, how many people have fell down in front of the guns and weapons!

I don't think so . The USA never really mean to solve the complicated conflicts between not so powerful nations from which he wouldn't get any belefit. Putting his nose into the Middle East is just for his own sake. For such a long time, the USA has being helped Israel obviously. With the help of such a powerful nation, Israel is afraid of nothing. It is clear that it is actually useless of the effort.Uncle Tom appears police to want to control the world andsake benefits from it,it is his business.

I do not think so .First , the US is not really the lover of peace .what she did is to get more benefit for herself.let us look forward.Let us have a look at the gulf war ,Yugoslavia war,and north korea ---- south korea relations and so on .the US has played a bad role all the time. what she had done is only a form, and a semblance to the world .so I think the US also has no honesty in soluting this problem.Second let have alook at the Middle East Conflicts itself , it is very hard to solve, and peo ple ,respones is tremendous ,and there are also many unknow factor . so I think it is very hard to solve .

I never think that the US will really help Middle East find back peace . It's just an excuse .He's aim to change the aera into his dependency. Never doubt it .His deeds always don't match his words . Wait until you see !

I want to correct my mistake in the Hilfiger allegation. I received a mail from my friend to say that the story about Mr Hilfiger is a hoax indeed. We were set up by this hoaxer to teach us a thing or two about torance. I suppose I got egg in my face this time. I also promised to make known to you the email adress of Mr TeeCee so that you can tell your opinion of the acceptability of thugs like him making life difficult for people participating in a free discussion group like this one and that thuggery is not aceptable conduct here.

I would like to direct you to an article in www.straitstimes.asia1.com.sg, under the title "What good are new pacts if the US won't HONOUR old ones ?" The author of this article is Paul Kruger of Princeton University, who I believe, is also a Noble laureate. He contributed this article to the New York Times. The gist of his article is that the USA reneges on agreements unilaterally when it suits the USA to do so; this makes nonsence of the idea of an agreement. You either stick to an agreement or you do not enter into one but it is definitely n NO NO to unilaterally breach an agreement if you have already been bound by one. It has absolutely nothing to do with how strong the USA is and that if they breach their sworn obligations then we the weaker nations have no recourse. There is no world policeman to enforce agreements amoung nations and that is exactly the type of agreements that we must honour, because if all other nations treat their international in the same irresponsible and unilateral way that the USA does with their sworn obligations then that will constitute a dismantling of all international agreements ;and disputes between nations will be settled by the power of the gun. I suppose this need for violence is what the USA wants because they are the nation with the most guns. In this sense the USA is the biggest thug in the world. When Osama bin Laden said that the USA is the biggest terrorist of all in the world, I guess he must have meant it in this sense; which I also endorse wholeheartedly.
