Pere Noel-Old world Santa's
All Santa's are constructed entirely by hand. They are unique one-of-a-kind creations that begin with porcelain heads and hands. Each is then clothed in a mixture of velvets, "faux" furs, brocades and other fine fabrics. Each outer garment is trimmed in a "faux" fur. The underdressings are usually fashioned in a light colored fabric that coordinates beautifully with the outer garment. The bag of toys contains only wooden and metal items that are both; to scale and period appropriate (1850-1910). No plastics toys are used at any time. The hair, beard, eyebrows and mustache are meticulously applied by hand which adds realism and depth. Under each coat there is always a different small Christmas scene placed lovingly on the wooden support base. All Santa's are catalogued to make sure they are one-of-a-kind, but then I never make anything the same, so each item has it's own personality.
Each heirloom Santa is made to please the most discriminating collector, and Santa lovers, and are designed to last for generations!
