Hadeeth 46.10
General Section on the People of the Decree
Yahya related to me from Malik that he heard that this was
said "No one will die until his provision is completed for
him, so behave correctly in your seeking it."
Hadeeth 47.1
Good Character
Yahya related to me from Malik that Muadh ibn Jabal said,(radhiallahu
anhu) "The last advice the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, gave me when I put my foot in the
stirrup was that he said, 'Make your character good for the
people, Muadh ibn Jabal!' "
Hadeeth 53.2
Behaviour in the Greeting
Yahya related to me from Malik from Wahb ibn Kaysan that
Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Ata said, "I was sitting with Abdullah
ibn Abbas (radhiallahu anhu) when a Yemeni man came in. He said,
'Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessing' (as-salamu
alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu), and then he added
something more to that. Ibn Abbas said (and at that time his
eyesight had gone), 'Who is this?' People said, 'This is a Yemeni
who has come to see you,' and they introduced him. Ibn Abbas (radhiallahu
anhu) said, 'The greeting ends with the word blessing.' "
Yahya said that Malik was asked, "Does one greet a woman?"
He said, "As for an old woman, I do not disapprove of it. As
for a young woman, I do not like it."
