TAURAT: Revealed on Prophet Musa (Moses) (UHBP)
ZABUR : Revealed on Prophet Dawood (David) (UHBP)
INJIL : Revealed on Prophet Isa (Jesus Christ) (UHBP)
QURAN (AL-FURQAN): (THE CRITERION OF RIGHT AND WRONG); THE FINAL ORDINANCE OF ALLAH:
Revealed on Prophet MUHAMMAD (S.A.W.), who was the SEAL of PROPHETS, and who was raised not but as a mercy for mankind and on whom Allah completed His Favours, as Universal Messenger to men giving them Glad tidings and warning them against sin.
"THIS DAY HAVE I PERFECTED YOUR RELIGION FOR YOU AND COMPLETED MY FAVOURS UNTO YOU, AND HAVE CHOSEN FOR YOU AS RELIGION, AL-ISLAM." (Ma'ida 5:4)
"WE HAVE SENT THEE NOT BUT AS A MERCY FOR THE PEOPLES. (ANBIYAA: 21:107)
"WE HAVE SENT THEE NOT BUT AS UNIVERSAL MESSENGER TO MEN, GIVING THEM GLAD TIDINGS, AND WARNING THEM (AGAINST SIN), BUT MOST MEN UNDERSTAND NOT. (SABA:34:28)
APOSTLEHOOD
Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W), during the course of meditation in the Mount of Hira, - which is a hillock measuring about 12 feet long, 6 feet wide and 6 feet high, situated on the east of Makka (old name Bakka), about 3 miles away on one side of Meena in Jable Noor, - met for the first time Hadrath Gibriel, who, after introducing himself , conveyed him the glad tidings that Allah had chosen him as His Apostle. This miraculous event occurred on the 9th Rabiu'l Awwal, or on Monday, the 12th of Rabiu'l Awwal (12th February 610 A.D.) when the Prophet was 40 years and 11 days old.
Thereafter, it was on the 18th of Ramadhan, Friday night (17th August 610 A.D.), that in the same cave of Hira, Hadrath Gibriel apeared in his true form for the second time and made him to repeat the following five verses of Sura 'IQRAA':(96:1 to 5)
"READ IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD WHO CREATED,
CREATED MAN FROM CLOTS OF BLOOD
READ! YOUR LORD IS THE MOST BOUNTEOUS,
WHO HAS TAUGHT THE USE OF PEN
HAS TAUGHT MAN WHAT HE DID NOT KNOW..."
