Throw yourself back in your seat, and soar to these blissful regions

where

there are neither strange faces

nor harshness

nor rules or guidance

where sweetness prevails

where lilac sways in gentle breeze

where flowers emanate their fragrance

where birds hop about in the garden bushes....

CONVERSATIONS

This is one of those prose-poems which i wrote. I guess it was
a dialogue between me and my friend arshawnaise, that sparked me off to
write this, though we dint really talk anything like this ! p.s: initially this poem was named chat, but chat enthusiasts just forgot everything and started clicking on chat, thinking it was a link to chat, and so the change !!

      I Smile,
I do this in the anticipation
      Of meeting you someday.
      I wait.
What comes of loving p'ple you've never met?
What I know now of distance,
      I am fledgling
      Steps, steps
      Step by step
      Move
      Step
      by
      Step
Sounds of your heartbeats and laughter
Call me home from the woods for dinner and a bath.

LISTENING TO YOU READING MY POEM

        Like in a trance
        It is dense

Like the feelings you don’t know,
Or rather you know, and can’t show

        Like those hollow days
        Of a love affair
        That just didn’t happen

        Like that worthless minute
        When you discovered someone cried
Thinking of you. (Oh.. something you did..
                                ….something you said..)

        Like that magical moment
        At some historical monument
When you hear the music so clear
But that no one else hear.

        Like in a trance
        Like in a trance
        It is dense
        It is dense

	March 06
She said 'This relationship cannot be repaired'.
Searching for the truth in her lips, breasts, stomach
I knew its difficult to repair when hearts are broken.

	March 09
	Seconds pass by
	This is another long wait
I suppose this is the place, and
	This is the said day.
	I am waiting for someone.
That same darkness, the same voices.
	Leaves fall, colors fade
Clouds move on. Its dark again.

	March 12
Oh !, Why I keep thinking about you.

	March 17
It is ages I listened to any music.
	Shh....... Listen
	Listen there is music here
	Listen close.
	You hear those echoes
	Music
	It keeps echoing inside you.

	March 18
	Someone watches you
	The way you hold the
Little finger of your leg. (oh even that !)
	Ha. even that.
Every shade, every blush, every wrinkle.

	March 19
What do you mean, you cried ?

	March 20
What does this night tell me
Sing O! and fill up this cold air
There is a black cat somewhere here
	Now I cant find him.

ODE TO THE UNKNOWN PATIENT

(Dedicated to the patient elsewhere, who the we* know only through
the wave files, for it is their agony that we transcribe.)

*we = The MTs (Medical Transcriptionists). This poem appeared in the iridium
technologies in-house magazine, iriscript. Those who are not familiar with
the transcription industry may have problems enjoying this poem.
However if you are keen, just mail me, i am always happy to help.

I know your name, I know your pain
Know your history, family and fame
Don't know if its politically correct
To make a poem with you as the subject

Every file is a prayer for me
Something that pricks inside of me
Every key depression makes my soul light
With a hope that you will boldy fight

Across the seas, beyond the boundaries
              The distances, and gripping numbness
A dictating voice rains down 'live'
That's about you; and its my life

Can't be prophetic, I am just a man
Only one thing that I just can
Is to wish you "Get well soon, be fine"
And return back in two weeks' time.

             *                *               *                 *
Wait for more of them, and there are some more poems i want to add to
this, but unfortunately i can't find them now. one of 'em is 'Furher
Charit Manas', which I had recited at ccbm. if any one of yu have a copy
of it please let me know

This is a lovely poem written by my friend Fallon.
I thank her for giving me the permission to put it up in this page.
love written in the stars
LOVEWRITTEN IN THE STARS
By
Fallon Frederick *Angel*

Have you ever felt what happens when two hearts fall together,
and felt it would last forever?
Have you ever had a true love,
like the kind you have always dreamed of? Has he ever touched your heart,
in ways he made you feel like you would never part?
Did he ever tell you he would love you forever,
and that we'll always be together?
Haveyou ever gazed into his eyes,
and feel his love, and see no lies?
Did you ever feel with his sense of touch,
That you could love him ever so much?
Did your friends ever feel you guys would never part,
and say there was no way this relationship could fall apart?
Did they ever tell you this was like something from a fairy tale,
which should leave you with no reason to cry or wail?
My true love meant all of this to me,
But this he refused to see.
How could a love that was written in the stars,
all of a sudden fall apart and leave you with such deep scars?
I told him he would always be remembered,
But the stars above will never again shimmer.
I can't believe how someone can go,
to someone you love to someone you used to know.

She also added this to her poem when she sent it to me..

I Corinthians 10:12
So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!

This is the latest (April 13, 2001) of my poems. I think it was
churning in my mind for long, and then in the end I was quite
satisfied with how it turned out.

Thoughts At An Abandoned Railway Station*
         ---------------------------------------------

They say inside every fat man there's
a thin man trying to get out. Exactly !

I say inside every big city there's an old
dying village trying to get out, desperately.

You look around, in every corner, every alley
Every gloomy postbox, there is a village archived
With all those years staring you in the eye

If you take the risk to stare back
(forget the risk, will u have the time ?)
. . . then, you see the rust
           Centuries of rust. Building blocks.

           The city, the future.
           and beneath the nauseating sophistication
           Lives flourish (!)
           Rats, cockroaches, men, women, children.
