People  are not  often  hit  by lighting in a storm , but  you  should always

take care .The following  precautions will reduce the danger.

 

Get off  high ground  , such as the top of the hill and away from tall trees .

 

Do not stand in doorways , or holes in rocks . Electricity can jump across spaces like thise and kill you

 

keep far away from anything which is made of metal., such as a fence

 

  If you are swimming or in a small boat , get out of the water as soon as possible.                                                                                              

 

Never  fly a kite ride a bicycle in a thunderstorm .
