Mars
                         Mars is another planet easily seen from Earth. In some ways it is like our own planet, but spacecrft have not yet found any traces of life on it.

                          The surface is strewn with red rocks and banked with sand downs. Photographs of the planet have shown big volcanoes. Its axis is tilted 25.2o.

                          The average air temperature is -30oC in the day and -100oC at night. The northern ice caps made of frozen Carbon Dioxide.

                          Mars spins itself at 24 hours 37 minutes 26 seconds and round the Sun at 687 days with the speed of 24km per second. Its gravity force is 38% Earth's gravity.
