Synopsis

This drama is a true love story about a geeky young man's romance with a beautiful young lady that was made into a bestselling novel. The novel is based on a message board discussion from the Internet BBS, 2channel. The novel was made in to a blockbuster hit movie and several mangas, (most of which were intended for adult readers), and finally this drama.
Aoyama Saori works as an office lady. One day, she gets uncomfortable on the train when a drunken old man approaches her. She's saved by Yamada Tsuyoshi, who is an otaku (someone obsessed with anime, manga, games etc.). As a form of appreciation, she sends him Hermes teacups (Herms is an expensive brand). Tsuyoshi, being an otaku, has no experience with the opposite sex, so he decides to ask for help on the Aladdin Channel BBS on how to respond to Saori.

Review
Densha Otoko is definitely my all-time favourite j-doramas. The reason why I like it so much is because there are so many interesting characters. Itoh Atsushi does a great job of being an otaku. In every scene he acts exactly like what most people think an otaku will act like. This makes Densha Otoko have many humorous scenes. There are also many romantic scenes filled with drama later on in the series. I recommend Densha Otoko to anyone who wants a good mix of homour and romance.
