| Closer to Heaven is a musical, and for the time being also one of the most recent musical projects of Pet Shop Boys. It is based on Jonathan Harvey's book. Still, lyrical and musical content belongs to the boys. The story revolves around London's club scene and focuses on a young gentleman who'd "do anything for the fifteen minuted of fame". He's shameless. He's ambitious. But he is not sure what he really wants. The musical started at London's Arts Theater in May. Unfortunately on October 13 the last show was played and it is closed for the time being The talks are going on about producing the musical in New York !!! |
