| Wilde about Becks Talking of getting to number one, Victoria Beckham has pulled out all the stops to ensure that her latest pop tune hits the top spot. Maybe she should change her name to Ruth Less? Seriously though, one has to admire her fortitude. I am just sorry I wasn't out shopping when Posh dragged her husband along to her record signing. I am told David is singing on the record and revels in the fact that he is a gay icon. Not that it takes much these days - look at Elton and Eminem. The truth is, Beckham is "dandy", Oscar Wilde is a gay icon - but David need not utter a word or lift a quill. (Express Column) |
| In the true spirit of name-droppin LOS Angeles is a nutty place, full of desperate wannabe stars all talking about their agents and how much they got paid. It's all about who you know here and famous names are dropped with embarrassing regularity. If you are really famous your name will invariably be shortened - like Mo for Madonna or Dal for the Dalai Lama - because every star belongs to one religious sect or another. Did you know for example, that Courtney Love is a Sikh? This trend was started by Madonna who can often be spotted in a flowing kaftan shopping for groceries, travelling by limousine of course. Religion is the new drug but forgive me for saying that most of those stars are about as spiritual as a ham sandwich. However, I have promised to banish cynicism from my life so I will just sit back and puff on my glorious cigarettes. (Express Column, 17.01.99.) |

I feel the human being is a multitude of sexual possibilities and we are all bisexual by nature. Just because you don't act on an impulse, it doesn' mean it does not exist. ...
