Lifestyle
For me, feeling good boils down to making a conscious choice between health and sickness while it's still in your control.

In a healthy state, you enjoy life by doing.  This involves loads of physical activity.  Exercise is a regular part of having fun.  There are loads of different things to do.  TV is reserved for when the weather is not so nice or to watch a special event.  Generally you don't have the time for it.  You eat a well balanced diet.  It's not all bean sprouts and tofu, but really food that you like.  You actually have loads of energy, you feel positive, feel great and you rarely get sick.  Maybe you spend a lot of time enjoying your particular activity - Hiking, biking, sailing, skiing, weight lifting, aerobics.. It just really depends on how much you get caught up in the lifestyle.

In the sickness state, you are mostly a spectator in life.  You spend a lot of time watching TV - soap operas for women, sports for men.  You spend a lot of time wondering why other people are having all the fun or better yet, convince yourself that no one in their right mind would be doing these physical things anyway.  After all you have got to be tired after doing all that.  You often get sick and feel crummy.  You go to the Doctor and they give you a pill for your ailment.  You often eat "comfort food" - bad food to convince yourself that you are feeling good.  Actually, you are depressed often.  Maybe you smoke, drink or do drugs because you want to feel better or want to entertain your depressed friends.  It just really depends on how much you get caught up in the lifestyle.

It's really your choice.  You can decide.  If you don't like where you are at, it's a matter of making the change in lifestyle.  The rest follows.
