| My research on the Blazer lead me to www.s10extremest.org, were I was able to research every thing on my truck, as well as plan out my mods. This is what I know of, the truck is a 1986 Chevrolet S10 Blazer with 2.8 v6, 4 speed auto trans, Z71 offroad package, 4:11 diffs and the Tahoe interior package . This is what i've added so far a Kenwood stereo, new grill, exhast system, power stering pump and various odds and ends. These are the plans new wheels, 31inch tires,3 inch body lift 2 inch suspinion lift custom bumpers lockers for the diffs and the biggy a 3.4 v6 from a camero to up the power. I hope to have most of this done this summer then new paint and some inside stuff this winter | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Once we got it home I replaced the power steering pump and had the exahust system replaced. Next came the Huge task of getting the house paint off and repairing the rust. I did manage to get most of the crap off with auto paint stripper and get down to actual paint and rust. Lucky for me it wasent as bad as I thought only in three of the rear quarters and a little on the roof above the rear glass. So far i have managed to finish the roof and one of the quarters. I've been a little to busy as of late to get to the other two but I will. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Here is what it looks like with the body work about half done. there will be more pics later when, I get the body work done and a few mods done. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Can you belive it, the truck is actually blue and silver. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The blazer has recently gotten some up grades to it, in the form of a 3 inch body lift from performace accessories. New 31.10.50 15 tires and Factory 4x4 wheels. I put on a new tailgate to replace the rusted, dented, and cracked old one. Also a class 3 recever hitch and some other nitpick stuff. Below are some picks taken during the lift. It took me a day and a half to finish it, mostly due to the 100 plus degree heat, not a smart time to do this, but o well. I did most of the work my self, though on the second day some friends from the DFW 4wd club showed up.Thank you Brian Kelly and friend (bad with names), and to Pat Hammer who made the shifter extensions. All in all it was a fairly easy upgrade to do, and well worth it. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Big difference be tween the two huh. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Whth the new wheels and tires and such, I decided I couldn't look at the multy color thing any more. So 20 bucks in spray paint and a days work and now it looks a whole lot better. As an added bonus it will be easier to fix a boobo from the trails. I never wanted a showroom paint job because this Is going off road and will get scratched and what not. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
