Let's be friends with the students from our local!

Have you ever seen young men who are pulling a two-wheeled cart filled with flowers or vegetables through Fujimi Station Square or the shopping street?

They are students from Fujimi High School who sometimes go out to sell flowers or vegetables which they have grown in class.

Let's call out them. It's a good chance for you to get a good bargain and have refreshing friendship with them. * See the next page for information about the cultural festival at Fujimi High School where you can buy flowers and vegetables.

* What is a high school cultural festival?
It is held once a year and is the biggest event in one's high school life. There are not only presentations of studies or extracurricular activities, such as concerts, but also flea markets and stalls run by students. Most of the high schools around here hold them in July, but Shirakaba-sai is held in the harvest season.

* What is Engei-ka, the horticulture department, at Fujimi High School like?
Fujimi High School has two departments, the general one and the horticulture one. It has notable activities. For example, some students got excellent results in the nationwide contests for milk cow, and their club is trying to clean the Okkoto-kitazawa River up by submerging charcoal with the cooperation of Fujimi Town.
