| Well now about me: As I told you above, my name is Gloria. I do live in Wisconsin and do get sick of winter. But don't we all? To your left, the poem "Wanna Be"is about a child who grows up stuttering. She tries to avoid the words that she will stutter on. So instead of saying "Want To Be" she says "Wanna Be". Try it; say the words "want to be" real fast.What does it sound like? Changing how words sounds can be a common thing to do. As she grows older, she realizes that she can say the words . I have been a stutterer since day one. For many years I tried to hide the fact that I did stutter and am now beginning to find out from friends that it is not my fault and it's ok. That "ok" part is the hardest to understand or figure out. Anyway I am working on that. There have been a number of people who have stutter . One I really like was Moses. You can read about him in Exodus. It tells all about how he led the people of Israel away from the Egyptians.. He did it with the help of God and his brother. But, really, if you read the book, you will find that Moses did a lot on his own.. without his brother. So even with his stuttering, he was a great leader. You ask what I do? Well, I work in a factory . I am a spray painter, and also on Sunday Mornings teach third and fourth graders about Jesus. Trust me when I tell you it's fun . Kids will say the darnest things. On the first day of this year's class,one asked how old I was. (I must really look old to him.) Any way I enjoy it a lot. I also have three grandchildren who can really keep a person busy. My motto with them is "spoil and then send home". So I am kept busy. The music in the background is "On Eagles Wings" |
