as i said before, hundreds of ff's and police officers are killed each year in the line of duty, this page is about that.....i dont want this page to be just about 911, but unfortunately after 911 is when people started realizing how important police an firefighters and ems workers really are....so i hope this page is about all the firefighters, all the ems workers and all the police officers, who have given their lives to save another, for this no greater gift then to sacrafice yourself for others |

if i knew it would be the last time that i watched you fall asleep, i would have hugged you a little tighter and prayed your soul to keep
if i knew it would be the last time, that i would watch you walk out that door, i would give you a hug an kiss, and call you back for one more
if i knew it would be the last time, i would hear your voice lifted in praise, i would have video taped each action, each word and played them back everyday
if i knew it would be the last time, i could spare an extra minute or two,to stop and say " i love you", instead of assuming that you know i do
if i knew it would be the last time, i would be there to share your day,well im sure you will have so many more, so i will just let this one slip away
for surely this always tomorrow, to make up for an oversight, and we always get a seconed chance, to make everything alright
there will always be another day, to say our " i love yous", and certainly theres another chance, to say " is there anything i can do?"
but just incase i am wrong, and today is all i get, i would like to say how much i love you, and hope we never forget
tomorrow is not promised to anyone, old and young alike, and today could be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight
so if your waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? for if tomorrow never comes, you will surely regret that day |

Be it pledged as an emergency medical technician, i will honor the physical and judicial laws of God and man
I will follow that regimen which, accodring to my ability and judgement, I consider for the benefits of patients and obstain from whatever is deleterious and mischevious, nor shall i suggest any such counsel.
Into whatever homes i enter, I will go into them for the benefit of the sick and injured, never revealing what I see or hear in the lives of men unless required by law
I will also share my medical knowledge with those who may benifit from what I have learned
I will serve unselfishly and continously, in order to help make a better world of mankind.
While I continue this Oath unviolated, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and the practice of art, respected by all men, in all times. Should i trespass or violate this Oath, may the reverse be my lot, So God help me.

Brother when you weep for me, remember that it was meant to be. Lay me down and when you leave, remember i will be at your sleeve. In everydark and smoky hall, I will be there as you slowly crawl. On every roof and driving snow, I will hold your coat and let you know. In cellars hot with searing heat, at windows where a gate you meet. In closets where young children hide, you know i will be at your side. The house from which I know respond, is overstaffed with heroes gone, firefighters who answered once last bell, did the job and did it well. As a firefighter we understand that death's dealt a card in our hands. A card we hope we never play, but we hold it in our hands anyway. That card is something we ignore, as we crawl across a smokey floor. For we know that we are the only prayer, for someone that might be trapped in there. So remember as you wipe your tears, the joy i knew through out the years. As I did the job I loved to do, I hope that thougth will carry you through. |

An angel in the sky, must leave his place of rest, gently tucking his wings beneath his armoured vest. For duty has called, there is much work to do, Little did he know, this one is dressed in blue. Arriving on the scene, he knows just what to say, "Follow me, fallen brother, I'll show you the way, Your duty has ended, your work is now through, come hang your hat beside mine, I'm a police officer too.
