My Angel

Angel's wings
   Of gossimer, glistening
   Sparkles of starlight
   Points of white
   Lost in the night
   On her endless flight
To be here at my side

Angel dust
   Comes fluttering, flying
   Blown gently in sighing
   Tears of crying
   Trickle not dying
   And I am trying
Waiting to be set free

My angel has thus arrived
   With shiny wings
   Blessed angel things
   To me she sings
   Of golden rings
   So off I fling
This coat of darkening gloom

With my angel I shall fly
Up to God I send my cry
Refusing to ever question Him why
I've felt such pain and sorrow
Now I dream only of tomorrow
Living on time I did borrow
From my angel who taught me to fly
