The phantom is an great pump gun to have and apparently the silver standard for all players to have, some swear by it some decry it but in the end if it wasn't good would there be so many mods parts and add-ons for it on the market? Exactly it's to pumps what the A5 might be to semis it's the median standard. You know a phantom when you see one it cant be mistaken for anything else, and of course in stock class it's just cool looking. This gun has some respectable feild operations requires very few tools to strip in the feild. But then again lets face it, CCI did a damn good job designing this workhorse.
When your stalking stats the phantom is an interesting weapon of choice, since straight out of the box you wont get the best performance in fact you have to put some wear on it to get it even close to top performance. Fortunately this means you get very aquainted with the gun and you learn about each one's charactersitics. Since no two phantoms seem to work exactly the same due to the user's wear and tear on each one. Honestly I dont think I could get a better pump then this for my occasional use habits but who knows. Either way the modification from a basic right side feed phantom to a VSC setup was easy and barely required any tools at all. I'll be storming the castle at ccastle conquest XXI with this for sure even if I've got to go two-fisted with a a5 in onehand and the phantom in the other!
Note: in an odd characteristic of my particular phantom it seems mine greatly dislikes 12-gram cartiges as a propellant source so I use a 3.5 oz bottle these days to compensate.

You know, for a paintball gun thats already pretty damn good out of the box the amount of after-market add-ons availible for a phantom is staggering, but of course here I am with the latest modifications. The funny thing is, if you look at the picture below you can see I've got the full five fin hammerhead set for the phantom since they only send that case if thats what you received. the old barrel is sitting on the case for comparison, and the 3.5 ounce bottle is attached for full detail. Relax, the gun is neither loaded nor does the tank have any gas in it. Ironically I got the full set by accident, it seems the guys at hammerhead accidentally sent my original order ot the shredder and as a way of saying 'oops!' they upgraded my minimal order to the full set order for no additional cost. You dont see that often in business folks, take notes that tose guys over at hammer head are pretty serious about their products, and customer service.If you'll notice though on the slide rail is an Adco Imp red dot sight, thats not impact protected and it's actually there for practice shooting all and all after the mods and add-ons and shipping totaled to 584.54 usd.
