The Rig |

This is my brewing set-up, known as "The Rig" It is constructed of 3/4" square steel poorly welded together (by me). A turkey fryer burner is attached to the upper tier, another burner just sits below the lower tier so that I can remove it and use it for other things. |

Here's all of the components in action. Hot liquor tank on upper tier, Mash tun on second tier, boil kettle on the ground receiving runoff. After sparging is complete I remove the mash tun and set the boil kettle on the lower burner. |

Here's a picture of a mash in progress, sparge water is heating on the upper tier. My mash/lauter tun has a Bazooka screen instead of a false bottom. I batch-sparge and usually get 72% efficiency, less on high gravity batches. |
