Bi-Annual Badminton Tourney

Teams Distribution:

Four teams ,as indicated below, will participate in the tournament.

 

Order of Play:

Round 1.

Team A will compete against Team D, and Team B will compete against Team C.

Round 2.

Winners from round 1 will compete for 1^st and 2^nd place, while the runners up from round 1 will compete for the 3^rd and 4^th place.

 

Rules:

• Matches are based on the outcome of three games.  A game is completed when any one side reaches 21 points.  The side reaching 21 points first will earn credits equaling the difference between 21 and the number of points of the opposing side. (For example in a game between Team A and Team D, if the score is 21/18 in favor of Team A, then Team A earns credits worth 21-18 = 3).  At the end of three games the Team with the higher total credits will be deemed the winner.

 

• Teams will pair their players as follows.  Players 1 and 4 will play game 1. Players 2 and 3 will play game 2. Player 5 and any other player will play game 3.

 

• Players will abide by the rulings of the court umpire for each game.

 

• In case of any disputes/disagreements, adjudication by the match referees, Abraham and Fareed will be final and binding.

Notes:

v     The tournament will start at 9:00 am. Everyone is requested to be punctual.
