I joined the Marine Corps on Dec 28th 1995 from Lewiston, Idaho. On Oct 15th of 1999 I re-enlisted for 4 more years. Went to boot camp at MCRD San Diego, then moved on to MCT, then Motor T school at Ft Leanard Wood, MO, I then Reported in to 8th ESB on Sept 16th 1996, on April 26th, 2000 I went to Iwakuni, Japan, and remained there until April 2001, when I was assigned as an Instructor at Motor T School at Fort Leonard Wood MO. On January 8th, 2005 I got orders to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, at Camp Lejeune, NC. Then in the summer of 2005 the clouds parted and the sun beamed down as the Promotion Board selected me for SSgt. I was promoted on November 1st. Then, in March 2006, I was offered the job as the Battery Motor T Chief for Battery "R", 5th Battalion, 10th Marines and jumped on it. In the summer of 2006 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force decided that 5/10 HQ Battery and Romeo Battery would join and become a Civil Affairs Group. I deployed to the city of Ramadi in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq as a Civil Affairs Team Chief from February 2007 until March 2008. While I was in Iraq I was selected to become a Marine Corps Recruiter and upon my return from Iraq I completed the screening and was transferred to Marine Corpe Recruit Depot San Diego to attend Recruiters School. Following Recruiters School I was assigned as a Recruiter in Topeka Kansas. While I was at Camp Lejuene I deployed to Puerto Rico and Norway. During my stay at Iwakuni I went to Okinawa, and South Korea. During my second tour of duty at Camp Lejeune I was deployed to Kuwait and Iraq.
I originally Hail from Lewiston, Idaho. Lewiston is a thriving metropolis by Idaho Standards (pop 30,000). It isn't the best town in the world, but it is a great place to raise a family. Mind you if it were that great I would have stayed there, lol. The latest news in my world is that I have been assigned as a Marine Corps Recruiter in Topeka, KS..
