KFLO RADIO was established back in 2001 in San Jose, CA broadcasting through the Shoutcast Server as a Classic Soul station. In late 2001 KFLO RADIO merged with KBLT internet radio out of Fresno, CA, which also broadcasted the format of Classic Soul, and also Today's R&B. In 2002 KFLO became independent and until this day still broadcasts the format of Classic Soul, and also Smooth R&B. We feature Classic Funk and Smooth R&B from the 70's, 80's and 90's!

About KFLO RADIO

This weeks featured artist is a Bay Area local and one of the favorites a popular funk band from the 70's through today, they are Con Funk Shun!!!! Con Funk Shun was formed buy a group of guys who went to high school in Vallejo, CA back in the 1970's The group was founded by lead singers Felton Pilate and Michael Cooper. Through their years, Con Funk Shun produced hits such as FFUN, Shake and Dance with Me, Too Tight, Love's Train, Straight From the Heart, etc. Con Funk Shun split up in the 80's when Michael Cooper decided to take a track on a solo career. In the 90's the group decided to join back together, and til' this day, are performing in concerts around the U.S. You'll hear these hits from Con Funk Shun and many more right here on KFLO RADIO - Classic Soul and Smooth R&B!
