Favorite Bear Experience: Catching balls from Marcus Robinson at Platteville 2000.

Your Bear Traditions: Scrambling out of church and into the car to catch the kickoffs for noon games. Sitting in the drivers seat in the garage until theres a break in the action before I run inside to turn on the TV. Eating lunch in the living room (which NEVER happens otherwise).

Favorite Current Bear: Brian Urlacher

Favorite Bear Ever: Brain Urlacher, Walter Payton, Jim McMahon, Tom Waddle

Favorite Bear Experience: Going to the Bears/Tampa Bay game with my father November 18, 2001. It was my first Bear game and they put on a scoring fest with all of the TDs happening right in the end zone we were sitting. I also had the pleasure of meeting ivey4 and paul3 for a few pre-game adult beverages (thanks again!). It was a great time!

Your Bear Traditions: Now that I have recently acquired DirecTV, I now have the NFL Ticket. It's much nicer, nevermind cheaper, watching the games at home tipping back several Newcastles!

Favorite Current Bear: was Jim Flanigan Now Brian Urlacher or Olin Kreutz

Favorite Bear Ever: Walter Payton

Favorite Bear Experience: My first Bear game I attended Bears/Raiders, Jeff Jaeger won it for the Bears, his first game against the Raiders after being cut by them, on a last second field goal.

Your Bear Traditions: A yearly trip up to a Bear game with buddies from high school in my grandpas motorhome, tailgating and buddies, some of which I haven't seen in months, started in 1997 against the Detroit Lions, 98 against Dallas, 99 against Philadelphia, 00 against Tampa Bay, 01 against Minnesota. Next year I hope to be able to make a weekend out of it by catching an Illini game on Saturday camping out in the motorhome and going to a Bears game on that Sunday, I hope it works out.

Birthdate: 4-1-79

Joined MOSF/KFFL: At the switchover to KFFL. (Tried to join KFFL, but they had stopped new joiners)

School: Calvin College (BS in Mech Engineering), Washington University in STL (Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Masters Engineering Managment)

Job: Design Engineer

Myself in a word: Analytic

Other stuff about you: I am a 230 lb, 6'4" white male (sorry, I haven't got a picture, so I figure the description helps.) I am married with one beautiful daughter (born 11/15/05). My job as an engineer requires me to look at things objectively and I try to bring that same characteristics to my posting, though it is often interpreted as just being contrary or difficult. Since I cant watch about 50% of the games, and since I love numbers, I do tend to rely on stats more than a sane person would. That said, the numbers lie less often than opinions do, so I think that lends some objectivity as well.

Favorite Current Bear: I love linebackers, and Urlacher is one of the best, so you have to choose him. If that is too obvious, my second favorite bear would probably be Mark Bradley. If he can recover from his injury, I think he can be fantastic.

Favorite Bear Ever: No doubt, Mike Singletary. Gotta love the intensity with which he played the game. Plus, he was one of the best in the game when I started watching the Bears.

Favorite Bear Experience: I have a picture of me all by my self in Soldier Field from across the park. We got permission to slip in side the stadium and look around during the middle of the week as long as we didn't go on the field. I currently have the picture blown up and hanging in my room. You can barely see my white shirt and hat in a sea of orange seats. (This was in high school, so it is the old stadium configuration, before the spaceship landed.)

Your Bear Traditions: Usually, I just watch the games that I can, and then check out other people's opinions on KFFL. Unfortunately, living in STL limits the number of games I can watch. If the game isnt on TV down here, My wife and I usually head down to the local sportsbar (Kriegers) and watch half the game in there.

Myself in a word: Circumspect

Other stuff about you: I'm married to a wonderful woman who shares my passion for the Northsiders, but doesn't "get" football. I'm lactose-intolerant, don't eat red meat, and I'm a die-hard gamer. And I'm currently on the fifteen-year plan to finish college. :^)

Favorite Current Bear: Olin Kreutz

Favorite Bear Ever: While I loved Walter Payton, Dan Hampton is my favorite Bear of all time. (Just please, don't ask him to speak.)

Favorite Bear Experience: The Super Bowl victory in January 1986 was one of the best (albeit belated) birthday presents I ever got. But my favorite memory is from 1986, when my late father got free tickets from a guy with whom he worked and we watched the Bears outlast the Lions in the freezing cold. My old man was never much of a sports fan, but he knew I was, and took the tickets just so we could go together.

Your Bear Traditions: I swore fifteen years ago I wouldn't go to see the team live until either the Bears made it back to the Super Bowl or the McCheapskys sold the team, so my ritual involves moving half the food and drink in the fridge to the living room (past the chuckling and occasional rolling eyes of my lovely bride) in preparation for kickoff.

Favorite Current Bear: Brian Urlacher

Favorite Bear Ever: Jim McMahon

Favorite Bear Experience: Watching "Sweetness" get inducted into the hall.

Your Bear Traditions: I have a "favorite" Bears T-shirt that I have owned forever. I wear it each Sunday. The Sundays that the Bears win, I don't wash the shirt for the next week for "good luck". If the Bears put a winning streak together, the shirt starts to get a little funky. Just a small sacrifice for the beloved.

Favorite Current Bear: Mike Brown

Favorite Bear Ever: Sid Luckman, Richard Dent

Favorite Bear Experience: My Dad is a Browns fan. Just before the end of the 2001 Bears/Browns game he called to gloat. He called too early. One miracle finish later (thank you Mr. Matthews and Mr. Brown) I had the last laugh. Family bragging rights are critical.

Other stuff about you: Well, I was born in Chicago in Evanston. I grew up watching the Bears, I lived there until I was 8 years old. I love all sports, but football is my love. I like every team in Chicago, but the Bears come first over the Cubs, Bulls, Sox and the Hawks. I really like computers, I am a video game freak and want to be a video game designer or programmer. I love lifting weights, and playing sports, football and basketball.

Favorite Current Bear: Brian Urlacher and Anthony Thomas

Favorite Bear Ever: Walter Payton

Favorite Bear Experience: Soldier Field with my Dad, Bears vs. Giants two seasons ago, their home opener, although they lost that game, it was one of the most memorable moments I will have with my Father. We are real close, and it was just very special to have him next to me at the game.

Your Bear Traditions: I don't wear any Bear gear on gameday, because of superstition, everytime I have wore a Bear jersey on gameday they lose, so I don't wear anything with Bears on it! Only when I go to their games do I wear it. And that doesn't happen very often. I wore my jersey in 99 when the Bears beat the Chargers in San Diego, but it was my Cade McNown jersey...LOL. I still have it, I am considering burning it....

I fell in love with the bears in 85 (yeah, I jumped on the band wagon, but I was only ten) and have been a supporter ever sense. I am on the season ticket waiting list and go to a few games each year.

Favorite Current Bear: Brian Urlacher, who else?

Favorite Bear Ever: Walter Payton

Favorite Bear Experience: The first time I went to Soldier Field. I walked into the stadium and just stared in awe at the sight. The bears lost the game to the rams and Enis suffered the injury that took him out of his rookie season, but I loved just being there.

Your Bear Traditions: Drink bear and scream at the TV if I am home or drink bear and join 50,000 other screaming fans at the game. I tape games and review them during the week.

Favorite Bear Ever: Singletary, gotta love those eyes.

Favorite Bear Experience: Probably would have to be Singletary's final home game, I remember getting all emotional during Mikes speech before the game.

Your Bear Traditions: Generally, I plan my Sunday around trying to catch the Bears game, if it happens to be shown locally. Unfortunately, living in SoCal I don't get to see every game, but as soon we get into a house, I plan on getting the dish much to my wife's dismay.

School: Cornell College (Mt. Vernon, IA) for undergrad (philosophy/communications double major); Northwestern University School of Law.

Job: Assistant State's Attorney with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office (no guys, I can't "help a brother out"--except to say don't break the law!) :-)

Myself in a word: libertarian (you be what you are, I'll be what I am, and let's not make any nevermind about it)

Other stuff about you: Recently married to the love of my life (Mary Jo Dennison); we tied the knot on August 10, 2002 (I went from being a 24 year old single male to a 25 year old married male in one day--boy, did my insurance go down!). I love the Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Hawks (in that order), ND football, and H-D motorcycles (I am putting together a '54 Panhead that will be the bike-to-end-all-bikes, but am riding a '90 Screaming Eagle Sporty until then). I entered law school as an agnostic Marxist, and left as a Catholic libertarian--you figure it out!

Favorite Current Bear: Mike Brown/Olin Kreutz

Favorite Bear Ever: Walter Payton (trendy, but what can I say . . . he was the best)

Favorite Bear Experience: Going to Platteville with my Dad while I was in college. I worked for the college radio station, and called the Bears ahead of time, telling them that I was covering training camp for KRNL-FM. They gave me a press pass, and I was able to go to the "press only" section, and get closer to the action. Eventually, they figured out what was going on when I didn't have a tape recorder. Some guy asked me "why aren't you recording any interviews?" When I told him that I would just remember what people said, he took my press pass away. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted!

Your Bear Traditions: I watch the games at home. Call me a bad fan, but I enjoy the games on tv more than at the game. For baseball and hockey, I love being there (and go every chance I get), but I much prefer football on my couch. I watch the games with my wife (wow, that's still weird to say), mom, and dad, and sometimes my sister and her boyfriend. It's a family event. (I was raised a Bear fan; my mom's a decorator at a bakeshop, and she refuses to decorate any cakes with the Packers logo; she tells the customer to go to another bakery!)

Live is too expensive and time-consuming, and bars and crowds are too distracting and make me miss too much. Favorite Bear Experience: My Uncle had taken me to a game every year since 1976. The regular season was over in 1985 and I had not gone to a game. The Bears were so good I figured he didn't have trouble finding anyone to go with. The Bears had just shut out the Giants and were going to the Championship game. My Uncle called that night and invited me. Going to the Championship game and seeing the Bears shut out the Rams is the highlight of my sports fan life.
