The KF6ZOO-Link is located in Pittsburg, California. The general coverage is in the East Bay Area and usable in Pittsburg, Antioch, Fairfield, and the Delta Bay. The transceiver is a Motorola Radius M120 with approximately 45 watts power output. The aerial antenna is a Diamond X50A dual band. The interface board is a Rigblaster Plus from West Mountain Radio. The Echolink software has an add-on software Echotime TTS Plus by KH2D. A separate fan controller for the transceiver is installed externally to control the timing of a muffin fan during and after TX. A fan is an essential accessory especially for Motorola link tranceivers to preserve your investment. The latest addition to the KF6ZOO-Link system is a simplex phone patch Model CS-900.
This RF Link is open to all licensed amateur radio operators. There is no club affiliation and no dues are accepted. All I ask is that you use good operating procedure. |
