Just for those who wanted a peak inside
This is my station, granted it's not like the "big guys" but it gets the job done!  Lets see what we have here.  To the extreme left are a pair of GRMS Uniden radios with desktop charger.  They are really nice and even have speach scramble for complete privacy!  Center top, is the Uniden Trunktracker 200ch scanner.  Below that is my PK-96 TNC for packet operates at either 9600 or 1200 baud.  Directly below that is the Yaesu FT-487 all band/mode transceiver.  Wow that was a piece of work to connect 4 different cables for HF, 50Mhz, VHF, and UHF up!  Yes There are four different antennas (home-made).  On the shelve below the FT-487 is my MFJ CW keyer/reader.  OK guys, the secret is out!  I cheat at CW!  Now you know how I can send and receive at 75+ words per minute. hahaha
To the left of the FT-487 is my MFJ antenna tuner for HF work.  I have one HF antenna a home-made dipole (portable) that it is connected to that will allow me to work down to 80 meters, but it is tuned for 10 meters.  On top of the antenna tuner is my Yaesu FT-470 dual band portable with a 1000 ah battery pack and desk charger.  O yes and or course a desk lamp for a "touch of class"!
Here is the other side of the work station, my Dell laptop with external keyboard, mouse, and flat LCD display.  Notice the silver antenna in the left?  Its a home-made Wifi antenna that extends the range of my aircard for the laptop.  A USB extender gives me 8 USB ports, 4 of which are used.  Below the laptop is a Dell printer and storage for paper and other items.  Yes this space also double as my dining room table and work bench.  I built this myself to replace the crapy table and chairs that came with the RV.
Last but not least, is up front in the driver's section, is a Radio Shack 10 meter radio and Midland 11 meter radio.  Hey!  don't laugh, remember when 11 meters belonged to hams?  I do!  The 10 meter rig is connected to an internal 10 meter coil loaded antenna that does a good job.  The rig is all mode, granted it is a Radio Shack radio, but it was cheap and it's been a nice radio.  The Midland, well it's AM/SSB with freqency display instead of channels, that really messes with some heads!  Also it has the weather bands too, which is a must when traveling! the  stand and mounts are also custom made by me for the area I had to work with, both radios are within easy reach and tune since I travel alone most of the time.

I'll throw up some photos of my antennas when I get the time.  N4RTQ, Robert in Va. told me to put up a trapped dipole across the top! hmmmm got the room??
