| As a small child growing up in the Pittsburgh area I had a supportive family and many opportunities to pursue art. I had the advantage of Saturday art classes with the Tam O Shanters and as I grew I advancing on to the pa;ette classes at Carnegie Mellon University. Strong heredity factors for art in my family gave me a natural talent and passion for art. Employment always involved art on one form or another. Throughout the years I worked in, advertising, design and as a Display Director in Anchorage Alaska. In my later years I am able to devote my time to creating the art I love, sharing the year between Pennsylvania and Flordia. Today, I like to spend my Saturdays on the golf course but, never pass up an opportunity for an art workshop to explore new art techniques and creativity. Living in the Flordia Keys is pure inspiration for an artist. I enjoy working in all medias, but watercolor is my favorite for plein air painting in such a paradise. I enjoy membership in several water color societies and guilds. Proudly, I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Everyday is a learning experience that I look forward to. Always appreciating the love, support and encouragement of a wonderful family makes a very happy and contented artist! |
