My Report

The steps I took to make my client webpage was pretty simple. I basically decided to create frames for my client's webpage. I first created the introduction page which will be the first page to welcome the potential customers. I went ahead and put a nice welcome graphic that shines and brings attention to the introduction text below it. Then I created the page that would contain all the links in the left side of the webpage. Once I created that page I decided to put a picture on top of the links. I intended to put my clients picture but she decided not to do that, so I went ahead and put a different picture instead. I then created the footer which will be at the bottom of the webpage and it will contain the link to email the client and the last updated information. Once I had these three pages done with the color background that I wanted and the fonts I wanted and of course the pictures that I wanted to accompany the links page. I then created the master page and included these pages in it.

In the master page I put the links to the pages I created and made sure they worked properly. Once that was done I went back to finish the pages a little bit more to get it the way my client wanted them to look like. After that was done I created the Skin care page that would follow the introduction page. In the Skin care page I decided to put the same background to it and eventually to the rest of the pages I created. In the skin care page I decided to put a nice title with big letters letting the customers know what page they are in and then I put a little introduction telling them what kind of products they will come across. Then I inserted the picture of the product that my client wanted after that was done I decided to put some tables to organize the product information so customers can have the information without confusion. Then I put a little bit more information about the product in terms of describing what the product does for the customer. I also decided to separate the products by putting borders and last but not least I put the Go To The Top link in the bottom of the skin care page to make it more easier for the customers to go up instead of scrolling up. Once I finished the skin care page I went to the links page and added it to make it a link on the left side of the webpage. That is basically what I did to the rest of the other page links.

I think this website is comparable to Avon and also Mary Kay products. They all offer basically the same kind of products for the skin and for makeup. I think that my clients website is enticing. I think when customers first see the introduction page they will like the fact that the introduction is short and to the point instead of a long introduction. So many people are very busy and making the introduction page short will not keep them reading too long. My clients website is consistent from page to page. I think my clients content of great skin, makeup, and nutritional products with great prices will bring people back to the site. The customers can easily contact my client with any questions they may have. The email link is in the footer so customers can see the contact information on everypage they are in. If this was to be a website that my client wanted to use there would be a place in the site that would say products will update every 2 weeks or every month depending on what my client prefers. Potential customers can interact by emailing my client and letting her know their questions or concerns. There is also a section in the order form for those who have more questions about their order.

My client wanted a website that was nice and simple not to complicated. She wanted to make it easy for her potential customers to navigate through her website. So, thats why writing the name of the page as a link on the left side of the website was perfect for what she wanted instead of the back and forward links. This company that she belongs to is devoted to make the everyday woman to look and feel their best. So, they offer a great variety of products for their customers to pamper themselves. Their goal is to make women feel confident about themselves and just feel great. My client feels the same way about her site so she wanted to do something similar. I personally didn't encounter any difficult tasks as I was creating the website. I just ran into a little trouble on the part where all the files need to be in one folder in order for the pictures to show on the site. I decided on the frames instead of the back and forward websites because I figured that frames would be a great way to navigate and full fill my clients desire of making the website easy to navigate. I think I followed the Web Style Guide pretty well because the mission of my client was to bring products to potential customers and make them feel good about themselves. My client and I spoke a lot about the website and how she wanted her products to be displayed. It was easy to collaborate with my client because she is my cousin. She made one thing clear she wanted to put something that said if they have any questions to please email her. She wants to make her customers feel that they can count on her for anything. All in all when I was done with this project she loved it. She thought it looked great which is the most important thing. She was really satisfied with what she wanted which was nice and simple with easy navigation.
