Spirit Guide,Owen!
At the time I was feeling very insecure about managing a college education on my own with a little 3 year old to take care of. Suddenly I saw a picture of a man infront of me and out of that picture came Owen. He walked up to me, took my hand and embraced me and my first thought was: This is my Spirit Guide! He told me that I was going to be just fine and told me not to worry. He was dressed in a long white robe and he reminded me of the people living during Jesus' time. For as long as I live, I will never forget those beautiful eyes that looked into mine. Deeper than the deepest ocean. There is no doubt that he is a very strong and wise spirit.
This was the very first time I saw Owen. A moment of complete happiness, trust and unconditional love. I decided to expand my abilities to be able to contact him conciously to try to build a stronger connection between us then there already was. I got in touch with a well known psychic from the US, who told me that I most likely was a psychic medium and she encouraged me to try channeling. My first reaction was: Oh no I can't do that!!! Bold as I was, I started experimenting and all I can say is: She was right! Most likely I have always been able to do this - without knowing how.
As I started to explore channeling, there were so many questions on my mind. To be a good channel you need around 20 years of experience. My friend in the US have channeled for a very long time and she was and still is of great support.

When he is present my body goes numb and I get a feeling of becoming compressed/expanded. I can get a cold or warm sensation in my body and/or where he touches my hand or shoulder. We communicate telepathically and I had to learn to shut off my own thoughts while waiting for his answer. This was tricky in the beginning and I kept confusing his answers with my own thoughts.
Sadly, all of this happened too fast for me, so Owen decided that we had to slow down a little. My visions became more intense and I had a hard time getting out of the state I was in while channeling. My head was bombarded with images and voices to every little question I had, I started focusing more on protection and gradually things went back to normal. I have to stress how important protection is for those of you who want to work on the spiritual. There are major forces out there, both positive
and negative.
As i got used to channeling, I was able to open completely to receive the messages Owen had for me. If I was stressed or preoccupied with my every day life, he would stand close to my ear and shout my name. That way I would know that he wanted to contact me and I would sit down and talk to him.
I was working very hard on seing spirits with my physical eyes. At the moment I wake up in the mornings and when I am very relaxed, I see them very clearly, only a little more subtile that our bodies, but in full color. When I am busy with the input I get from my busy life - I see them as energyfields and auras.
But there is also another way of seing your spirtguides and relatives - through "daydreaming/visualization". Many people think that it is more difficult than it is to see spirits, and thus give up when they are not able to see them with their physical eyes. But here is a tecnique that is worth trying, and it works for me.
Mediumship is slightly different than channeling. Both include communicating with spirits, but channeling is used to contact higher beings of light and receive messages, yes even entire books, more often than merely contacting deceiced relatives and friends. Many people have great comfort in getting in touch with their "lost" loved ones - who are still with us, only vibrations away.
When I am asked to get in touch with a relative or someones friend - I close my eyes, relax and start daydreaming. I emphty my mind of unneccessary mish mash and wait for whatever shows up. This doesn't take very long - only a couple of minutes.
When a person shows up in my daydream, I start to describe this person to the one who's asking. I ask the spirits for health conditions and the spirits shows me how he/she died etc. Sometimes they hold objects in their hands that is connected to the one who is asking. Then I just go with the flow and receive what the spirit wants me to see. The whole scenery can change, more spirits can enter, and pretty soon we have a BBQ party!!:)
Sometimes I get names that I deliver to the person who's asking, sometimes I get brief messages of love and little things valuable for the receiver to know about.
The only difficult thing to get from the spirits, is TIME...for time is man-made and does not excist in the spiritworld, so if you can do with "pretty soon" or "not in a while" we'll both be happy:)
