Convention

There is an informational meeting after school Tuesday, February 12, in HS 109 for anyone interested attending convention or in running for office at Folsom or Vista del Lago High School.

Convention is a great opportunity to meet other Key Club members from all over California, Nevada, and Hawaii, learn new things, win contests, and have a great time. Enjoy enteratinment, a dance, workshops, and socializing. If you are intrested in running for Key Club president, VP, or Secretary, attending Convention is highly, highly recommended.

This year's convention for the CA-NV-HA district is in Long Beach in April 20-22 (a Friday - Sunday). The bus to convention leaves on Thursday, April 19, since this year, Oak Ridge and Folsom are going to Knotsberry Farm. Kiwanis has set aside some funds for both Key Clubs to help cover transportation costs. Our recent cookie sales helped to raise money for Folsom High School Key Club as well. When all costs are considered - transportation, hotels, theme park, registration, extra meals, and other things - the total comes to about $250. The one third payment plan is the best way to pay: Kiwanis, the school Key Club, and you each pay one third of the cost.

If you are interested in attending, please talk to one of the officers because there are some forms involved. We need a deposit to show you are committed. Pay close attention to these deadlines because your payment must be received by these dates, not just postmaked!
