"Ah please come in, we are late in our meeting."

"Where should I put this?"

"Where else?"

She drops her bag by the door continuing to her seat at the table. "Your time past has been how?"

"You know these are good times, and with good times, business is bad." The pot of fresh tea whistles as the scrawny old man puts the two tea cups of the fallen kingdom on the table almost set for evening tea, making a deft movement of grabbing the pot of tea off the stove and onto the table leaving two steaming cups somewhere in the middle of the movement.

"When will you stop that show of yours?"

"When I no longer can."

"Hmmph. Such words will get you a visit."

"My goodness, You think?"

"With an attitude like that, surely you will."

He barks a laugh at her, "Haven't heard of a visit in years! What makes you think my attitude will get me a visit especially in these times?"

She looks over her cup of tea straight into his eyes, "Others have been called for Guidance. Haven't you heard?" and takes a sip.

He stops laughing. Reaching for his chair to take a seat, his already pale gaunt skin draws even whiter and tighter, "Not till you told me." He almost misses his seat as he sits. "Why did I not know till now?"

"You live so far from us, I almost decided not to make my trip this year!"

"Like last year, and the years before. What's different?"

"I felt you needed to know." She finishes her tea and starts for the door.

"Have the guilds begun their recruiting yet?"

She takes a thoughtful glance toward the floor, "I am not certain. No one has been called for a Visit in quite sometime. So no one has returned for sometime."

"It is a long journey back, stay till morning, or at least have a chat, we haven't been in aquaintance for some time now."

She looks toward the door, knowing he is not concerned about her, but he knows why she came for a visit. It is difficult to behold when one departs for a Visit. "Just a chat. I must be going before dawn."
